Express pacer KamleshNagarkoti can be an ideal replacement for Shami. The speedster played his last IPL game in 2022. Overall, he has played 12 matches and taken 5 wickets. His economy is on the higher side, but Nagarkoti can bamboozle the batters with his extra pace and zip.
Mohammed Kaif
Mohammed Shami’s brother, Mohammed Kaif, has been making headlines after performing well on the domestic circuit. It must be mentioned that Kaif has not played IPL matches so far. However, the Gujarat Titans might be looking to include him in their camp to replace Shami.
Basil Thampi
Pacer Basil Thampi is another decent option to replace Mohammed Shami in GT’s camp. Thampi put himself under the base price of INR 30 lakhs in the IPL 2024 auction. However, he went unsold. Thampi last represented the Mumbai Indians in the IPL in 2022. He has a good slower ball in his arsenal and bowls good Yorkers in the death overs.
