In Jasprit Bumrah’s career Sanjay Manjrekar picks the ‘greatest ball’

Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, will return to India on Tuesday due to personal reasons but plans to rejoin the squad before the second Test against Australia, which begins on December 6 in Adelaide. A BCCI source confirmed, “Gambhir has informed us that he will be travelling back home and will join the team before the start of the second Test.”

In Gambhir’s absence, the coaching staff, including assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate, as well as bowling coach Morne Morkel and fielding coach T Dilip, will oversee training sessions in consultation with captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit, who missed the first Test after the birth of his second child, was seen practicing in Perth on Monday.

Former Australian opener David Warner commented on Rohit’s arrival, noting his sharpness during practice against Indian bowlers ahead of the pink-ball Test. The Indian team will travel to Canberra on Wednesday for a two-day warm-up match before the second Test.
