The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has unveiled a comprehensive plan to revitalize the country’s domestic cricket scene after the ICC T20 World Cup exit. These significant reforms aim to strengthen the overall system, improve coaching standards, and bridge the gap between domestic and international cricket.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the need for a robust domestic structure. Revised contracts and regular tournaments across all formats—Tests, ODIs, and T20s—will be implemented. This will provide players with a high-quality competitive environment to refine their skills and showcase their talent.
The PCB has also pledged to actively promote domestic cricket “at all levels,” according to Mohsin Naqvi. This includes securing the services of top-tier coaches who can nurture the next generation of cricket stars.
Naqvi made it clear that player selection for the Pakistan cricket team will prioritize performance, fitness, and merit. He assured fans that there would be “no compromises” on these criteria, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all players.
