In SA series, Uthappa urges Team India to hand debut to IPL 2024 star

Since its inception, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been instrumental in discovering hidden talents in Indian cricket. Among the latest prospects is Ramandeep Singh, who has been included in India's squad for the T20I series against South Africa but has yet to make his international debut. Former cricketer Robin Uthappa praised Ramandeep as “one of the most exciting prospects” in Indian cricket, highlighting his impressive performances in the IPL.

Uthappa noted that Ramandeep has been a standout all-rounder, scoring 125 runs off just 62 balls and excelling in the field. He urged Team India management to utilize Ramandeep more frequently, suggesting he could be an ideal partner for Hardik Pandya in the all-rounder role. Uthappa remarked on Ramandeep’s growth during his time with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he gained confidence and showcased his potential.

With injuries sidelining Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag, there is a strong possibility that Ramandeep could make his debut in the ongoing series.
