A record-breaking opening partnership of 156- runs between openers Shubman Gill (58 runs off 39 balls) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (93 runs off 53 balls) helped the ‘youthful’ Indian team to a dominant 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe on Saturday, July 13, in the IND vs. ZIM 4th T20I in Harare.
This marks India’s second 10-wicket win in T20Is, replicating their achievement against Zimbabwe at the same venue in Harare back in 2016. The unbeaten 156-run partnership between Yashasvi and Shubman today is the second-highest partnership for India in T20I run-chases.
With this victory, the India cricket team secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series. The fifth and final T20I, a dead rubber, is scheduled to be played on Sunday, July 14.
