Reminding of 'the wall', Shubman Gill stayed on the crease, faced 119 deliveries without scoring a boundary, and built a strong partnership of 72 runs with youngster Dhruv Jurel, guiding India to a fine five-wicket victory over England in the fourth Test at Ranchi.
With this, India clinched the series 3-1, their seventeenth straight Test series win at home, and also put a hold on the 'Bazball' storm. India raced to 84 for no loss before the English spinners rose to destroy the Rohit Sharma-led top order at 120-5.
The spinner of England, Bashir’s 3-79, along with his five first-inning wickets, went in vain as England were unsuccessful in defending 192 runs in the second inning.
