In the Ahmedabad showdown, youngsters Rinku Singh and T Natarajan aim for glory
Today is qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League season 2024 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams are going to fight against each other to secure their spot in the finals at Chepauk, while the loser gets another shot at glory in Qualifier 2 on May 24th.

Rinku Singh:
Rinku Singh hasn’t had many chances to shine this season after setting the IPL 2023 alight with his explosive finishing. Despite a healthy strike rate of 148.67 in his limited outings, he couldn’t find a place in the main squad of India for the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, with a reputation for late-inning heroics, he can’t be underestimated.
T Natarajan:
After a forgettable outing against the Rajasthan Royals, where Ayush Badoni took him to the cleaners, T. Natarajan redeemed himself against Punjab as he took some crucial wickets. His bowling arsenal has expanded beyond his trademark yorkers, with a deceptive slower bouncer that can trouble batsmen in the middle and death overs. However, he’ll need to be wary of Andre Russell, who has dominated him in the past, scoring 43 runs off just 26 balls against Natarajan in a previous encounter.
Both of these players are going to be in the limelight as they look to make a significant impact on the biggest stage of the IPL.
