On Monday, ahead of the IPL 2024, Indian captain Rohit Sharma joined the Mumbai Indians camp. However, the situation around the MI camp is expected to be tense, with MI going for Hardik Pandya for the MI captaincy and unceremoniously stripping Rohit Sharma of the role.
Rohit has been one of the most successful captains of the IPL, winning five IPL trophies since being chosen to lead the Mumbai Indians in 2014. However, Hardik Pandya’s second homecoming from the Gujarat Titans marked the end of Rohit Sharma’s captaincy as Hardik was handed the mantle to lead MI.
