In the First ODI match against South Africa Bowlers of Afghanistan gave fantastic Performance

The bowlers of the Afghanistan Cricket team showcased a historic performance against South Africa in the first ODI of their three-match series on September 18, 2024, at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The South African batting lineup collapsed spectacularly, losing wickets at an alarming rate, with the score plummeting to 17 for 1, quickly followed by 24 for 2, and then 25 for 3.

The situation worsened as they reached 29 for 4 and then 29 for 5. By the end of the power play, South Africa was reeling at 36 for 6 and soon after, they fell to an astonishing 36 for 7. The innings continued to spiral downward, concluding at a mere 106 all out, with scores of 75 for 8, 105 for 9, and 106 for 10.

Fazalhaq Farooqi and Allah Ghaznafar were instrumental in this bowling onslaught. Farooqi claimed four wickets while Ghaznafar took three, leading to South Africa’s worst-ever start in ODI history.
