In the important T20 World Cup clash after an embarrassing collapse, India registers their lowest-ever total against Pakistan

The Indian cricket team suffered from an embarrassing collapse in the crucial t-20 World Cup 2024 match against arch-rivals Pakistan in New York on Sunday, June 9. It was the lowest ever T20 international total registered by team India against Pakistan after being bowled out on 119 at Nassau County International Stadium.

After being forced to bat first, Team India lost openers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the powerplay. It was Rishabh Pant who kept the scoreboard moving by top-scoring with 42 off 31 balls, but Pakistani bowlers made a strong comeback to bowl out India for the first time in 13 T20I encounters.

The previous lowest total of India in T20I total of 133 against Pakistan came during the bilateral series in Bengaluru in 2012.
