In the IND vs ENG 5th Test Match, Yashasvi Jaiswal goes past Virat Kohli; eyes are on Gavaskar’s record next

Yashasvi Jaiswal A potential legend in the making has taken to test cricket like a fish does to water. In the nine innings he’s played in the India vs. England Test series, the aggressive opener is the leading run scorer, with 656 runs to his name. The next best is England opener Zak Crawley, with 407 runs in the same number of innings. His successful run has seen him score two doubles centuries and two fifties.
At just 22, Jaiswal has already gone past Rahul Dravid, DilipSardesai, and Virat Kohli on the list of Indians with the most runs in a Test series. Now, one of the best openers of all time, Sunil Gavaskar, and his record of 732 and 774 runs in a series stand in his way to claim the record.

Currently, the southpaw is just 118 runs behind Sunil Gavaskar in the third spot. Currently playing in the last Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal has two innings to go past the former Indian skipper.
