In the T20s, Kohli becomes the first Indian to cross 12,000 runs.

The star batsman of Royal Challengers Bangalore and India, Virat Kohli, reached yet another milestone in his historied career so far, as he crossed 12,000 runs in the T20 format.
Virat became the first Indian to reach the milestone and just the sixth batter in cricket history, joining an elite list of batters that includes the likes of Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Alex Hales, and David Warner.
He attained the goal after just 377 matches, becoming the third-fastest batter to do so.
Kohli reached his milestone on the biggest of occasions, at the grandest of stages, behind enemy lines in Chepauk, facing off against heated IPL rivals the Chennai Super Kings, with a calm single off a RavindraJadeja delivery.
Kohli was the quickest to 11,000 T20 runs, having scaled the mark in only 353 matches. The 35-year-old has eight T20 hundreds, the most among all Indians, with a career-best knock of 122 not out.
Kohli’s dominance is undeniable in the short format, as he stands alone as the leading run-getter in T20Is and T20 World Cups.
