In WPL 2025 Match, Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by four wickets

 

Ellyse Perry’s scintillating 81-run knock rescued Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s innings against Mumbai Indians in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. Despite early wickets, RCB managed to post a challenging total of 167/7 in 20 overs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Perry’s innings was a masterclass, featuring 11 fours and two sixes as she single-handedly propelled RCB forward while her batting partners struggled. Captain SmritiMandhana started strongly but fell early to Shabnim Ismail for 26 runs off just 13 balls.

Richa Ghosh joined Perry for a crucial partnership, adding vital runs before Amanjot Kaur dismissed Ghosh to break their momentum. Undeterred, Perry continued her aggressive play, reaching her fifty in just 30 deliveries and eventually taking RCB to a defendable total.

Mumbai Indians faced a tough chase but ultimately prevailed with four wickets in hand. Harmanpreet Kaur led the charge with a swift fifty off 38 balls, while Amanjot Kaur played an all-round role by taking three wickets and scoring an unbeaten knock of crucial runs to seal the win for MI.
