India A has made history by becoming the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024. Following a dominant performance against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where they won by seven wickets, India A secured their spot in the knockout stage. In their opening match, they had also triumphed over Pakistan, showcasing their strong form throughout the tournament.
In the match against UAE, the Indian bowlers restricted their opponents to just 107 runs, dismissing them in 16.5 overs. India A chased down the target swiftly, scoring 111 runs in just 10.5 overs. This victory not only highlighted their batting prowess but also solidified their position at the top of Group B.
With this win, India A joins Afghanistan, who had already qualified from Group A. The semi-finals are set to feature India A against either Bangladesh or Sri Lanka, depending on the final group standings.
