India beat Bangladesh by 280 runs in the 1st Test Match

In the First test match concluded on September 22, 2024 team India beat Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. India set a daunting target of 515 runs, declaring their second innings at 287/4 after scoring 376 in the first innings. Key contributions came from Shubman Gill, who scored an unbeaten 119, and Rishabh Pant, who added 109.

In response, Bangladesh cricket team were struggling significantly, managing scores of 149 and 158 across their two innings. R Ashwin was amazing with the ball, taking six wickets in the second innings, whereas Jasprit Bumrah also contributed effectively to dismantle the Bangladeshi batting lineup.
