India Beat Sri Lanka And Storm Into U19 Women’s T20 Asia Cup Final

India’s U19 women’s cricket team continued their impressive unbeaten streak in the U19 Women’s T20 Asia Cup, securing a place in the final with a four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in their Super Four match. Opting to bowl first, India showcased a dominant bowling performance, limiting Sri Lanka to just 98 runs for nine wickets. Aayushi Shukla was the standout bowler, claiming four wickets for only 10 runs in her four overs. ParunikaSisodia also contributed with two wickets, as Sri Lanka struggled to build partnerships, with only two batters reaching double figures: captain ManudiNanayakkara (33) and SumuduNisansala (21).

In response, India faced an early setback when opener IshwariAsware was run out without scoring. However, G Kamalini (28) and Gongadi Trisha (32) steadied the innings with a crucial 63-run partnership. Despite losing wickets in quick succession, Mithila Vinod’s unbeaten 17 helped India chase down the target in just 14.5 overs, finishing at 102 for six. This victory follows India’s earlier wins against Pakistan and Bangladesh, solidifying their position as favorites heading into the final.
