India Squad for the 1st Test against Bangladesh has been Released
Indian cricket team is going to face Bangladesh in the two match test series which is going to be held in September 2024. The series opener match is scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from 19th of September and the second test match will be held at green park stadium in Kanpur from September 27. On Sunday the BCCI announced on X the 16-member squad for the first Test, in which Rishabh Pant was included for the first time since his life-threatening road accident on December 30, 2020.
The premium batsman of Indian Cricket Team Virat Kohli is also back in the red ball team after missing the five match series against England earlier this year, but there was no place for Devdutt Padikkal, who made an impressive debut for the Rohit Sharma-led side in Dharamsala against England.
In addition to them, fast bowler of RCB Yash Dayal earned his maiden Test call-up. The left-arm pacer had picked up three wickets in the second inning for India B against India A in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match on Sunday.
