In thesecond day of 1st test match between Bangladesh and India Hasan Mahmud (5/83) become the first Bangladesh bowler to bag a five-wicket haul in India. On Day 2 morning in Chennai the 24-year-old reached the milestone after he dimissedJaspritBumrah. India has been bowled out for 374 runs.
However, it was senior pro Taskin Ahmed (3/55), who got the new ball talking in the morning. First up, he dismissed RavindraJadeja (86) to end the 199-run stand for the seventh wicket.
Akash Deep swinged his bat, was dropped by Shakib off Taskin but was removed by Taskin with skipper NajmulShanto taking a good catch at the mid-off. Taskin then got the prized wicket of centurion R Ashwin, who received a standing ovation from his home crowd.
Bangladesh controlled the game for much of Day 1 before Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took it away from them in the third session. The senior all-rounders will now be looking to ensure that India bat just once in this match.
