Ravindra Jadeja needed just one wicket when he entered the field on Day 3, and he completed the feat with the crucial wicket of England skipper Ben Stokes.
Jadeja, who scored a brilliant century with the bat, picked his 500th wicket in his 125th match. It was a special moment for the 35-year-old, who reached the milestone at his home ground in Rajkot. Apart from the 500 milestone, Jadeja also completed 200 wickets in India.
Jadeja is in his 125th game of FC Cricket. He has raced to 500 scalps, with his average being over 23. The tally includes 31 five-wicket hauls and 22 four-fers. On as many as eight occasions, he has returned with 10-wicket hauls. While 7/31 reads his best match figures, his best match returns are 13/126.
