Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja creates history as he becomes India's leading wicket-taker in the ODI Asia Cup

In the super four-stage match of the Asia Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka, Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets. Now he has 24 wickets to his name in Asia Cup ODI history. He has overtaken Irfan Pathan to become India's number one bowler with the most wickets in the history of the tournament. The spinners of Team India were in control of their game against Sri Lanka in the Super Four stage. Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja took the wicket of captain of team Sri Lanka Dasun Shanaka to take his tally to 23 and overtake Irfan Pathan. Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan got 22 wickets in 12 Asia Cup games. Pathan played in this tournament in 2004, 2008, and 2012. Ravindra Jadeja has played 18 games till now in his Asia Cup career. He is also the leading wicket-taker in the tournament among the current players taking part in the Asia Cup 2023. Shakib Al Hasan is second with 21 wickets in 17 games.
The off-spinner of Sri Lanka, Muthiah Muralitharan, is the leading wicket-taker in this tournament. He has taken 30 wickets in 24 games, whereas Lasith Malinga is second with 29 wickets in 14 games, and Ajantha Mendis is third in the list with 26 wickets in just 8 games. Ravindra Jadeja will be looking to extend his tally.
