Indian cricket team has announced that they are going to retain the same squad for the upcoming second Test match against Bangladesh which is going to take place in Kanpur starting September 27, 2024. This decision follows India’s comprehensive 280-run victory in the first Test held in Chennai, where they showcased a dominant performance.
It is to be noted that there is no place for Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, or Ruturaj Gaikwad in this squad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India went for consistency after the first Test's success, aiming to build on their momentum against Bangladesh. The team will look to secure another victory to strengthen their position in the World Test Championship standings.
