IPL chairman Arun Dhumal assures IPL 2024 to stay in India

Arun Dhumal, IPL Chairman, has assured that IPL 2024 will not be moved out of India. With Lok Sabha Elections 2024 dates clashing with the IPL, there was speculation that a part of the IPL would be played outside India. However, BCCI will keep the entire tournament in India. However, the Indian board is waiting for the poll dates to confirm the IPL 2024 schedule.
Arun Dhumal said, “We will work with the Indian government and agencies to make sure that the league takes place in India. We are waiting for the schedule of the general election to be announced, and then we will plan accordingly. like which state will host what game at the time of the election will be planned that way.”
IPL 2024 is expected to start on March 22, but Arun Dhumal refused to reveal the start date.
Dhumal added, “It will most likely start at the end of March... and general elections are in April, so we will work it out with the help of the government.”
The reason why BCCI is still waiting for the Election Commission of India to announce the dates is local police protection.
