Josh Inglis says, "I'm trying to put in some performances that will make them pick me”
Josh Inglis feels that he can play as a specialist batsman for the Australian cricket team during the 2023 World Cup after his heroics with the bat in the Mohali ODI against India.
Inglis played a significant role in the first ODI against India in Mohali on September 22, 2023. Despite the defeat of Australia to India by five wickets, Inglis made a commendable contribution to his team's performance.
After the match, speaking to the reporters in West Australia, Inglis said he was looking to string together some performances that would force the team management to pick him.
Inglis said, “In the past, I have played purely as a batsman. I quite enjoy my fielding, so there’s no issue with that at all. I’m just trying to string some games together and put in some performances that will make them have to pick me almost.”
