Kohli Become 9th highest Paid Athlete Globally
In the latest ranking the premium batsman of Indian Cricket Team Virat Kohli has been recognised as the 9th highest paid athlete globally. He is also the highest paid cricketer in the world over the past 12 months. His earnings are estimated to be around 8:47 crore which mainly come from cricket contracts and lucrative endorsement deals with major brands like Puma, Audi, and MRF.
Despite his significant income Kohli is not rank among the top 100 highest paid athletes in the world. This also shows the intense competition in the world of sports. The list is dominated by athletes from football, basketball such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who earn substantially more through their salaries and endorsements.
In addition to his on-field earnings, the business ventures of kohli including a stake in the fitness brand ‘One8’ in collaboration with Puma, contribute to his financial portfolio. He is also known as a top taxpayer in Indian sports, paying ₹66 crore in taxes for the financial year 2023-24, further solidifying his status as a leading figure in Indian sports
