Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 98 runs in the IPL 2024 match

IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders Brutally crushed Lucknow Super Joints in match 52 of the Indian Premier League season 2024 at the Ekana Stadium on Sunday. KKR beat LSG by a massive margin of 98 runs and improved their NRR to become table-toppers. Batting first after the toss, the ShreyasIyer-led squad set a huge target of 235/6 against LSG. Opening for the visitors, Narine and Salt came out all guns blazing and blasted 61 runs from just 26 deliveries. Salt made 32 off 14 balls, while Narine Top scored with a fiery 81 off 39 balls. In the death overs, a late surge of 25 at a staggering strike rate of 416 from Ramandeep helped KKR reach a mega total of 235. 
In reply, the Lucknow Super Giants buckled under the pressure of the tough chase, managing just 137 runs before being wiped out in 16.1 overs. Marcus Stoinis was the only LSG batter that could go over the 30-run mark. Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana picked up three wickets each, while Narine continued his good spell, and he was the most economical of all KKR bowlers.
