Kolkata Knight Riders completed one of the most dominant campaigns in the history of the Indian Premier League by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the finals of IPL season 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 26 to win the title of the cash-rich league for the third time in its history.
KKR, led by Shreyas Iyer, ended their 10-year title drought in a way that will be remembered among the greatest in the history of the world's richest cricket league. They had previously won the title in 2012 and 2014 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.

He also hit the winning runs as the Kolkata Knight Riders completed the chase with 57 balls to spare.
