Krishnamachari Srikkanth frustrated with BCCI For Overlooking Ruturaj Gaikwad in T20I and Test

Kris Srikkanth expressed his frustration over the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) overlooking RuturajGaikwad for India’s upcoming international fixtures, despite his successful leadership of India ‘A’. Gaikwad has been a standout performer, recently captaining India ‘A’ to victory in the ACC Emerging Asia Cup and demonstrating exceptional form in domestic cricket. Srikkanth questioned the BCCI’s strategy, asking, “What’s the plan?” regarding Gaikwad’s exclusion from the national team.

He said: “I don't understand it at all. When they say that Mayank Yadav, he bowled for a few overs and now he has also become unfit like ShivamDube and Riyan Parag. See, for Ruturaj, I don’t understand at all. Poor fellow! What will he do? If he scores a century, then they can take him back into the T20I squad, right? He scored two first-class centuries, but still didn’t get a chance. He got scores to back him up. Where should that guy be going now?”

Gaikwad has made significant contributions in recent matches, including a remarkable century in T20Is, which further solidifies his case for selection.
