Legendary fast bowler says, "Hardik Pandya is India’s main weapon in the World Cup"
Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram was of the opinion that Hardik Pandya could turn out to be India's main weapon’ in the upcoming edition of the World Cup. Hardik was impressive in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka, which India won by 10 wickets at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Akram, who is the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in international cricket, also said that India have a balanced squad at their disposal and are one of the favorites to win the World Cup. Moreover, Akram lauded Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up a five-wicket haul against Pakistan and won the Player of the Series award.
Akram said, "Hardik Pandya is their main weapon in the upcoming World Cup, and India is one of the favorite teams to win it. For starters, they are playing at home, and we have seen what they can do with the ball."
He further said, "Kuldeep got wickets as well against the big sides in the Asia Cup. So, it’s a complete side. So, well done to the Indian think tank, which has been supporting these boys and making sure that they have the proper squad before the World Cup."
