The fast bowler of South Africa, Lungi Ngidi, has named some of the batting world’s biggest names as his toughest challenges with the ball ahead of the T20 World Cup.
In a recent interview, Ngidi discussed his cricketing journey and the players who have tested him the most.
Ngidi said, “KagisoRabada is one of my best friends. It’s always fun playing with him. We’ve been playing together since we were 16, basically like brothers. We try to create pressure for each other and take wickets in tandem.”
While Ngidi acknowledged the skills of experienced Indian seamers like Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav, he reserved special praise for a rising star: “The most impressive for me has been Mohammed Siraj. He showed a lot of promise early on and keeps getting better.”
“We all know the big three—Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli, and Steve Smith,” Ngidi said. “Then there’s Babar Azam. These guys have earned their reputations, and you know it’ll be a challenge whenever they’re at the crease. I’d also add David Warner to that list. They’ve been my biggest challenges as a bowler.”
