The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is expected to take place on November 24 and 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to officially confirm the dates and location, sources suggest final arrangements are being made, with an official announcement expected soon.
However, scheduling conflicts have emerged, as the auction coincides with India’s first Test against Australia in Perth, set to run from November 22 to 26. Disney Star, which holds the broadcast rights for both the IPL and the India-Australia Test series, is eager to avoid a direct clash between these major events. Fortunately, the time difference between India and Australia may allow the auction, if held in the afternoon (IST), to avoid overlapping with the match broadcast.
As the IPL 2025 mega auction approaches, excitement is building with franchises preparing to make key bids on marquee players. Among the top names attracting attention are Rishabh Pant, ShreyasIyer, KL Rahul, Arshdeep Singh, and Ishan Kishan, all known for their exceptional skills in the T20 format. Their batting power, leadership abilities, and dynamic fielding make them crucial assets for teams aiming to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
