Before the much-awaited finals of the T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma and co. have decided to cancel their practice session. On the other hand, South Africa will conduct a training session before the mega clash on June 29.
One of the probable reasons for skipping the training session might be providing ample rest to the players. On Thursday, India defeated defending champion England by 68 runs to reach the final of the T20 World Cup. Before that, India played Australia on June 24. To note, Team India has also addressed their pre-match media conference.
Despite India being the epicenter of the Twenty20 game through the hugely successful Indian Premier League competition, their only triumph in this competition came 17 years ago. India’s last trophy of any kind was the Champions Trophy in 2013.
Ahead of the T20 World Cup final, Captain Rohit Sharma said, “We’ve been very calm." He further added, “We understand the occasion of the final. It’s important we stay composed, because that helps you make good decisions. We have been very steady and calm, and that has been the key for us."
