Mohammed Shami, with Indian soldiers, says, “I am proud to be an Indian.”

The fast bowler of Indian cricket team Mohammed Shami has been in the news in the last few weeks. He was conferred with the Arjuna Award for his contribution to cricket. Despite playing a few games, he was the best bowler in the ICC World Cup 2023.
Recently, he met with the defense personnel of India and saluted them for their courage and commitment. Shami uploaded pictures of his meeting on social media.
He wrote, “I am proud to be an Indian. Salvate our soldiers for their honor, courage, and commitment.”
Mohammed Shami hasn’t played cricket since the World Cup due to an ankle injury. He was initially named in the two-match series against South Africa but was ruled out at the last moment.
The veteran pacer was also not part of the first two Test matches against England. He must report to the National Cricket Academy to prove his fitness before making it to the Indian team.
