The Bihar Cricket Association has received a major boost for cricket development in the state, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India approving the reconstruction of the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna.
The Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, built in 1969, holds a special place in Bihar cricket history. Having hosted nine international matches, including a fixture in the 1996 Cricket World Cup, the stadium is set for a significant upgrade.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed the green light for the project in a letter to the Bihar government’s Department of Sports. He expressed gratitude to the department and assured them that the revamped stadium will be a hub for nurturing cricketing talent in Bihar.
