Neeraj Chopra clinched 2nd place and continues to inspire
Neeraj Chopra clinched 2nd place at the Lausanne Diamond League on Thursday with a season-best throw of 89.49 meters. The Indian javelin thrower was in 4th position until the fourth round before launching his spear to 85.58 meters on his fifth attempt.
Despite finishing in second place, Neeraj expressed some disappointment with his performance, stating, “The feeling wasn’t great at first, but I’m pleased with my throw, especially the second (career) best throw on my last attempt. It was a challenging start, but the comeback was really impressive and I appreciated the fighting spirit I demonstrated.”
