New record in List-A cricket created by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Rajasthan Royals’ 13-year-old crorepati

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, at just 13 years and 269 days old, has made history by becoming the youngest Indian to play List-A cricket. The young talent achieved this milestone while representing Bihar against Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at NexGen Cricket Ground, Hyderabad. This remarkable feat breaks the previous record held by Ali Akbar, who debuted at 14 years and 51 days during the 1999-2000 season.

In his debut match, Suryavanshi faced a challenging start, managing only 4 runs off 2 balls before being dismissed by Aryan Pandey. Bihar struggled throughout the match, bowled out for just 196 runs in 47 overs. Madhya Pradesh easily chased down the target, winning by six wickets with 149 balls to spare, thanks to solid performances from Harsh Gawli and RajatPatidar, who scored 83 and 55 runs, respectively.

Suryavanshi has already garnered attention after being bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.10 crore in the IPL mega auction. He previously shone in the U19 Asia Cup, finishing as India’s second-highest run-scorer with 176 runs.
