On the pressure of playing his first ODI World Cup, Ishan Kishan says, “My mother has told me..."

The young batsman of the Indian cricket team, Ishan Kishan, has been enjoying his purple patch in international cricket. He will be playing his first ODI World Cup, and that too in India, which can create pressure on him. But he has played enough cricket and knows how to handle pressure situations. In the league stage game of the Asia Cup against Pakistan, the top four batters were sent to the dugout, and Ishan Kishan, along with Hardik Pandya, was in the middle. Both batters added 138 runs together, and Ishan Kishan played a brilliant knock of 82 off just 81 deliveries.

Kishan has shown promising signs while batting in the middle order. It is good for the Indian team as well, with Kishan being a left-hander. When asked about the pressure at the World Cup, the left-hander revealed what his mother had told him.

Ishan said, "My mother has told me that I've got to win the World Cup for India at any cost, so there's some extra pressure."

There is no doubt that playing in the World Cup in the home country can create more pressure, but it is what each and every cricketer dreams of, and Ishan Kishan is no exception. He also revealed that there is pressure, but there's a bit of extra pressure as his mother has told him to win the World Cup at any cost. There is no doubt that Ishan will do anything possible to make sure India lifts the World Cup.
