Pakistan Cricket in for an Overhaul? PCB leader hints at significant action following the 20th World Cup loss

In the wake of Pakistan's narrow defeat against India in the T20 World Cup 2024, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has indicated that significant changes are going to be made for the national cricket team.
Speaking at the post-match press conference in New York, Naqvi described the performance of the team as disappointing and suggested that extensive restructuring is necessary.
After the six-run loss of Pakistan to India at the Nassau County international cricket stadium, Mohsin Naqvi addressed the media, expressing his dissatisfaction with the performance of his team.
He said, “It seemed that a minor surgery would suffice for the Pakistan cricket team, but after the extremely poor performance, it has become clear that the team needs major surgery.”
He also said that “we are at our lowest performance level, and our biggest challenge is to improve the performance of the team.”
