It was a perfect comeback for KL. Rahul smashed his century during the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India and Pakistan cricket teams on Monday. Rahul missed the first two matches of the tournament because of his niggle, but his inclusion in this match proved to be a master stroke as he stitched together a brilliant partnership with Virat Kohli to take India to a huge total of 3:56 runs at the loss of 2 wickets against the bowling attack of Pakistan. KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 111 runs in 160 deliveries with the help of 12 boundaries and two sixes. He came out to bat at the number 4 position, a position that has been a topic of debate of late.
Both Rahul and Shreyas Iyer came into the team after their long injury breaks, and with Ishan Kishan being preferred as the number 5 batsman, the question was always between them. However, with Rahul gaining the initial advantage, the team management may have a perfect solution to their dilemma.
