PM Modi, Jay Shah, and BCCI praised the semifinal victory of Team India over New Zealand.

After the amazing 70-run victory of team India over New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup semifinal, BCCI President Roger Binny commended the “Men in Blue” for their authoritative performance throughout the tournament. Shami’s seven-wicket haul and Virat Kohli’s record 50th ODI century were pivotal in India’s triumph at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Binny expressed confidence in India’s chances in the final, stating, “It has been a tremendous run by the team, winning all the games with such authority. We definitely have a good chance.” Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team on their victory, highlighting Shami’s exceptional bowling in the game.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah praised Team India for their spectacular journey to the finals, acknowledging standout performances from Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Mohammed Shami. Shah lauded the team’s all-around effort, emphasising the monumental achievement of Kohli’s 50th ODI hundred.

Shah’s post on social media celebrated India’s dominant batting display, with significant contributions from Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer. He credited Mohammed Shami’s crucial seven-wicket haul and milestone of reaching 50 World Cup wickets faster than anyone else.
