Gujarat Giants have announced the appointment of former leg-spinner PravinTambe as their bowling coach, alongside Australian Daniel Marsh, who will take on the role of batting coach, ahead of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. Michael Klinger will continue as the head coach after joining the team last season.
Tambe, who made his IPL debut at the age of 41 with Rajasthan Royals in 2013, brings a wealth of coaching experience, having previously worked with Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants. Expressing his enthusiasm, Tambe stated, “I’m eager to work with this talented group of players to sharpen their skills and help them excel.”
Marsh has an extensive background in coaching, having served as head coach of the Tasmania men’s team from 2013 to 2017 and as assistant coach for the Australian women’s cricket team since 2022. He aims to instill a fearless approach to batting in the Giants, saying, “I look forward to developing a fearless approach to our batting with the aim of making our team one of the strongest batting units in the WPL.”
As the WPL 2025 auction approaches on Sunday in Bengaluru, the Giants have retained key players such as Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney.
