President Jay Shah may step down as ACC Chairman. He will contest elections to become ICC President; ACC meeting in Indonesia from today

The president of ACC, Jay Shah, may resign from the post of president. He is also working as secretary on the Board of Control for Cricket in India and will contest the election for the post of ICC President. That is why he can leave the post of ACC.
The Annual General Meeting of ACC is starting today, i.e., Tuesday, in Bali, Indonesia. The meeting is for two days and will continue until January 31. A decision regarding the broadcasting rights of ACC is also to be taken in the meeting.
The election for the post of ACC Chairman is held once every two years. Jay Shah has currently completed one year of his post. It is believed that he will leave his post before the next elections because he has to contest for the post of ICC Chairman. The International Cricket Council (ICC) elections are to be held in November this year; before that, it can be decided in the ACC meeting whether Shah will contest the post of ICC Chairman or not.
ACC Media Rights Currently, members of all the cricket boards in Asia will participate in the annual meeting near Star. In this case, a decision will also be taken on ACC media rights. Under which a big tournament like the Asia Cup is broadcast. In this, matches for the Under-23, Under-19, and Women's Asia Cup are also shown.
Currently, Disney Plus Hotstar has the digital rights, and Star has the TV rights. The star had bought the rights eight years ago. ACC has also invited all the top broadcasters for dinner for the media rights auction.
