Ravindra Jadeja achieved a remarkable milestone by taking his 300th Test wicket during the second Test against Bangladesh at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium. This historic moment came when he dismissed Khaled Ahmed, making him the first Indian left-arm spinner to reach this landmark and the seventh Indian overall to achieve 300 Test wickets.
Jadeja’s accomplishment also places him among an elite group of cricketers, as he is now only the third Indian to complete the double of 300 wickets and 3,000 runs in Test cricket, joining legends Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin. He has accumulated 3,122 runs in his Test career, showcasing his all-round capabilities.
It is the be noted that Jadeja reached this milestone in just 74 matches, making him the second-fastest player globally to achieve this double, trailing only Ian Botham. His performance has solidified his status as a key player in Indian cricket history, contributing significantly with both bat and ball throughout his career.
