Rohit Sharma becomes the third Indian captain after Dhoni and Kohli to score 1000+ runs in all formats

It’s a record-breaking test in Dharamshala. Jonny Bairstow and Ravichandran Ashwin are playing their 100th Tests; Yashasvi Jaiswal has broken Virat Kohli’s record for most runs in a series; James Anderson is playing in a 50th venue and on the cusp of taking a milestone 700th wicket; Kuldeep Yadav became the third left-arm wrist spinner to take 50 Test wickets; and now Rohit Sharma has become the third Indian skipper to score over 1000 runs in all formats of the game.
Currently batting in the India vs. England 5th Test, Rohit Sharma joined his former teammates and skippers Kohli and Dhoni as the third Indian captain to score over 1000 runs in all three formats. The opener leads the two in T20I runs, while Kohli has the most runs as the Test captain and Dhoni as the ODI captain.

1. MS Dhoni has scored 3454 runs in a test, 6641 runs in an ODI, and 1112 runs in a T20I.
2. Virat Kohli has scored 3454 runs in Tests, 5449 runs in ODIs, and 1570 in T20Is.
3. Rohit Sharma has scored 1007 runs in a test, 2047 in an ODI, and 1648 in a T20I.
