Rohit Sharma meets ‘heartbroken’ Rinku Singh After T20 World Cup snub, pacifies KKR batter with long personal chat

Ahead of the crucial IPL clash between the Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, a heart-warming moment unfolded during pre-match training. India captain Rohit Sharma, fresh from announcing the T20 World Cup squad, joined his MI teammates for practice.
Rohit Sharma engaged in a lively group discussion that included fellow players Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, ShreyasIyer, KS Bharat, and even former cricketer GautamGambhir.
However, his attention soon turned towards the approaching figure of Rinku Singh, a rising star with the KKR team.
Rohit Sharma stepped away from the group and engaged in a private conversation with Rinku Singh.
While the content of their chat remains unknown, many speculate it could have been a word of encouragement following Rinku’s recent omission from the T20 World Cup squad.
Reacting to the Rinku Singh snub from the T20 World Cup team, his father was quoted as saying that “there were a lot of hopes, and that is why there is a bit of disappointment. We brought sweets and crackers to celebrate, and we thought Rinku would play in the first eleven. Still, we are very happy. Yes, he is heartbroken. He spoke to his mother and told her that he was not picked in the 11 or 15. But he also said that he would be travelling with the team.”
