In a thrilling encounter at the Kotambi Stadium, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women triumphed over the Delhi Capitals (DC) Women by eight wickets in the fourth match of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 on February 17. RCB's impressive bowling performance saw them bowl out DC for just 141 runs in 19.3 overs.
The match began with RCB opting to bowl first after winning the toss. Delhi Capitals started strong, scoring 51 runs in the first eight overs, but their momentum shifted when RCB's bowlers tightened their grip. Jemimah Rodrigues and captain Meg Lanning formed a solid partnership, adding 59 runs for the second wicket. However, once their partnership was broken, DC's innings fell apart dramatically, losing five wickets before the second time-out.
Renuka Singh Thakur and Georgia Wareham were the standout bowlers for RCB, each claiming three wickets. They received excellent support from Kim Garth and Ekta Bisht, who took two wickets apiece. Sarah Bryce contributed a late effort with 23 runs, helping DC surpass the 140-run mark.
