Senior Indian Pacer Mohammad Shami undergoes Achilles Tendon surgery and shares a picture from a UK hospital

The senior pacer of the Indian cricket team, Mohammed Shami, underwent successful heel surgery on February 26 to mend his Achilles tendon. He took to social media platform X after his successful operation in the UK to share updates, expressing the need for time to regain full fitness and make a comeback to cricket.
On February 26, following his surgery, Shami wrote, "I just had a successful heel operation on my Achilles tendon! Recovery is going to take some time, but I look forward to getting back on my feet.”
He was injured during the 2023 ODI World Cup campaign of India and has not played any form of cricket since the defeat in the final to Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium back on November 19. Shami missed the subsequent T20I home series against Australia and also the tour of South Africa. A few days ago, it was announced that Shami would miss the entire five-match Test series against England and undergo surgery in the United Kingdom.
