After the match, Shashank emphasized the importance of staying focused, stating, “When you enter the field, you don’t think about past or future performances. It’s just the bat and the ball. My goal was to stay on the wicket and maximize scoring.” He credited cricket legends Brian Lara and Ricky Ponting for guiding his development. Reflecting on their mentorship, he said, “Lara sir taught me how to approach my batting, especially as someone who times the ball rather than just hitting it hard.
