Shreyas Iyer's future is uncertain as he is not fit for Sri Lanka's game in the Asia Cup 2023

Shreyas Iyer is most likely going to miss Team India's match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday in the Asia Cup Super Four Stage because of his back spasm, which is still bothering him. He is currently being watched remotely by the staff of the National Cricket Academy, the Board of Control for Cricket in India managers, and the Colombo-based team management.
Before the match, the BCCI confirmed that he wouldn’t be available for India’s second Super Four game. The batter also didn’t travel with the team to the stadium. Team India would be playing back-to-back games in three days, and there have been some talks about resting some players vs. Sri Lanka.
Although Shreyas Iyer won’t be one of those substitutes. However, there are chances that team management may select the same starting line-up as against Pakistan.
KL Rahul, who came back from injury, replaced Shreyas Iyer in India's playing XI and said that after playing the first 10 to 15 balls, his initial apprehension subsided.
