South Africa defeated the Bangladesh cricket team by 149 runs in the 2023 World Cup match

At the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, the South African cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 149 runs in the 2023 World Cup match. This was the 4th victory of the South African cricket team out of the five matches they have played in their 2023 World Cup campaign, and this is the 4th defeat of the Bangladesh cricket team. Earlier, the amazing knock by Quinton de Kock of 174 runs saw him score the third century of the tournament as South Africa scored 382 runs at a loss of five wickets. At the start of the match, the South African cricket team was briefly in trouble at 36 for 2 after winning the toss, but rallied strongly after taking 144 runs in the last 10 overs.
Centurion Mahmudullah's heroic knock went in vain, as Bangladesh were all out for 233 in a chase of 383 against South Africa. Temba Bavuma continued to remain on the sidelines as Proteas' stand-in skipper Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bat first in the game.
