It looks like DC’s best spinning bet, Kuldeep Yadav, is going to miss a few more matches than initially expected due to a groin niggle. The Chineseman had missed the last two matches in IPL 2024 due to the same reason, and now he could miss a few more. As per a report, Kuldeep is advised to rest as a precaution, and it’s not clear if he’ll play the next match against MI on April 7.
Having said that, the injury doesn’t look serious since the bowler has been traveling with the DC squad and is in Mumbai as well, where the two teams will face each other.
Kuldeep had played in the first two matches against PBKS and RR and picked up three wickets as well. After that, he missed the matches against KKR and CSK that the team lost.
It is also learned that the selectors will be keeping a close eye on his progress with the T20 World Cup approaching. So in all probability, Kuldeep will be seen in action only on April 12, when the team will take on LSG in Lucknow. It is needless to say that he is one ofthe most vital players for the team as far as the World Cup is concerned, which will start on June 2.
